Where did the idea come from? People often ask where did I get the idea to write the Now Nexus. The idea started to develope from a PBS special about Richard Alpert aka Ram Dass and his book, Be Here Now. I watched the program and was astounded to learn that at that time, the Alpert/Dass book, Be Here Now was the 2nd largest selling book of all time! The Holy Bible is #1. I really could not believe that such a mindless and drug induced work such as Be Here Now could be that popular in our society. There also was Eckhart Tolle and his work, The Power of Now. Oprah promoted Tolle to the top and his work was very well received in the market. Based upon the sucess of these guys I realized that people are desperate for something to believe in, and that something must be the truth! Dass and Tolle seem to be misleading folks, so I set out to do a typical marketing ploy called bait and swith! Capitalizing on the popular "Now" theme I tempt the market, especially those that identify themselves as New Age. The title, The Now Nexus tempts the new age segment of the market to explore the power of being fully present, the power of being in the moment. Once they read a bit the swith occurs and the readers find themselves in a new and highly unorthodox arguement in favor of Jesus Christ. This work is a spiritual ontology and perhaps it is a bit over the top but it is straight from my heart. Through this book I hope to reach some of the doubters of Christ, perhaps a few of the very influential new age non belivers, yes and even the agnostic and the atheist in our society. Make no mistake about it, this book is all about Jesus and His Holy Spirit, the true power now!
